
Nifty FMCG Index collapsed amidst the markets bears. The Index after being on gaining spree for four straight sessions repeated the Monday horror show like last week. The Index shunned over 700 points with United Spirits, Jubilant FoodWorks and Godrej Consumer shedding around 4% each.
Britannia and Varun Beverages traded in the green.
At around 12.50 pm, Nifty FMCG was trading at 34,535.80 down 717.30 points or 2.03% after hitting a day’s low of 34,480.25 during intraday trade on Monday.
Marico also was nearly 3% down at Rs408.10 per piece. Colgate Palmolive also lost 2.17%
Procter & Gamble Hygiene (down 1.41%) and UBL (down 1.65%), Hindustan Unilever (down 1.37%), Dabur (down 1.12% and Nestle India (down 0.895) also traded in the red.
Britannia gained 0.84% while VBL was just marginally higher on Monday.
