Shiv Sena has praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stating that “rulers in Delhi” fear his return as the Congress president and alleged that a campaign has been launched to defame the Gandhi family. In an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamna, the Shiv Sena said, “Rahul Gandhi is once again becoming the president of the Congress party which is a good thing. For BJP without Modi and for Congress without Gandhi, there is no alternative. This truth has to be accepted.” According to inner sources NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, CPI leader D Raja, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, DMK leader MK Stalin and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav are supporting Rahul Gandhi on every front. Perhaps Rahul Gandhi has done a ideological streamline and avoiding those who are seen to be closer to right wing ideology. Rahul is the only opposition leader who is critical of Narendra Modi on every front like Economy, GST, High Fuel Prices, Unemployment, Covid-19 management, Migrants crisis issue, GDP decline, China policy and Farm Laws etc. With the backing of regional parties, Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the Opposition leader , best suited for the alternative of Narendra Modi in 2024 Lok Sabha polls but it is too early to say in Politics that he can maintain his popularity till the next Lok Sabha election’ .
PRESSURE MOUNTS ON HARYANA CHIEF MINISTER BY AGITATING FARMERS
INLD leader Abhay Chautala wrote a letter to the Assembly Speaker on Monday, asking him to treat it as his resignation from Vidhan Sabha if the government doesn’t withdraw the three black farm laws by January 26, With pressure mounting on Haryana’s BJP-JJP government increasing, the CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala reiterated that there is no threat to the state’s coalition government and it will complete it’s full five year term. Both the leaders had met Union minister Amit Shah to discuss the law and order situation in Haryana. Mr Khattar said after the Supreme Court stayed the implementation of the farm laws, they were hopeful that farmers will end their agitation. The Congress wants a special session of Haryana assembly to bring in a no-confidence motion against the BJP-JJP alliance government. According to sources, seven out of 10 JJP MLAs have supported the farmers protest openly and JJP MLA’s are not happy with Dushyant Chautala’s unilateral style and tough talk.
SACHIN PILOT MAY GET AN IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT IN AICC HEADQUARTER
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi wanted to restore Sachin Pilot’s status and forget the ugly rebellion and fully accommodate Sachin Pilot group. Pilot loyalists have already been included in the state committees; the young leader himself now may be given some important responsibility at the national level. There is strong speculation about Pilot becoming Congress Media Head or general secretary with an important state under his charge. With Pilot to be accommodated in Delhi, the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot will breathe easy for the rest of his term.
MAMATA APPEALS TO LEFT SUPPORTERS FOR SUPPORT IN HER BATTLE AGAINST BJP
In her recent rallies TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee took a soft stance towards the CPI(M) to get the sympathy of left front workers in her fight against BJP in the coming West Bengal assembly election. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has also openly appealed to Left and Congress workers to help the BJP oust the ruling TMC. According to political observers if the CPI(M) regains one vote then it will be at the cost of the BJP. This time the bigger stake holders in Bengal Politics feel that the small parties especially the CPI(M) cannot be taken lightly because assembly polls are fought on local issues and Muslim voters and farmers will play a decisive role. The CPI(M) and Congress may play a crucial role in the election.
CONGRESS DIVIDED IN UTTARKHAND OVER STRATEGY FOR 2022 ASSEMBLY POLL
After a long silence and united face of Congress in Uttarakhand, a big jolt in the unity comes after the statement of former chief minister Harish Rawat to the high command that there should be announcement of Chief Minister face before the coming 2022 assembly election. Uttarakhand Congress Chief Pritam Singh and opposition leader in the assembly Indira Hridayesh objected to the proposal and announced that the Congress has never fought the election in the name of chief minister candidate. Former minister Govind Singh Kunjwal, a supporter of Harish Rawat has told the media that high command should declare the name of Harish Rawat as the Chief Minister face in the coming assembly election which will unite the whole Congress party in Uttarakhand and the morale of the workers will be boasted. Meanwhile State president Pritam Singh has declared that Congress will fight unitedly and after the election the party will elect the leader of the house. (IPA)
