Its a clear win for Rahul Gandhi-led Congress in Rajasthan, if believed to the exit polls released late Friday. In Telangana the TRS could for government while picture is a bit confused in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram.
The official results will be released on December 11 and it could have an impact on the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Four exit polls suggest Congress will form government in the 230-member assembly in Rajasthan with a majority. Two out of three exit polls suggest TRS to win in Telangana and the reason could be the party’s gamble in calling early elections in the state.
However, exit polls of Republic-CVoter predict Telangana will be a hung house and both the TRS as well as Congress-led alliance will fall below the halfway mark.
The ABP News-CSDS poll predicts Congress to get 126 seats in Rajasthan. Two of the five exit polls suggest BJP to win with majority in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
Congress may finish second best in a face-off with the MNF in Mizoram, which is the only Congress-ruled state in the north-east. However, both the polls predict MNF would fall short of a majority.
In India the exit polls have mixed results unlike the West.
