With assembly elections in Delhi over, the political focus is slowly shifting in Bihar. The opposition is hopeful of the JD(U) chief’s return to the secular fold. Some opposition leaders maintain that a new political equation will take shape in Bihar before the polls scheduled later this year. While Congress is not against Nitish returning to the RJD-Congress alliance in RJD Lalu Prasad’s son Tejashwi Yadav is said to be not too keen. Some opposition leaders now plan to gauge Lalu’s mind and seek his intervention. Although Home Minister and Senior BJP leader Amit Shah has already declared that Nitish Kumar will be the NDA’s chief minister candidate and Nitish too seems to be fine with the alliance but on the issue of CAA and NRC the infighting is on peak in JD(U) and senior JD(U) leaders are pressurising Nitish Kumar to leave the alliance with BJP and join hands with secular forces.

NEW RECRUITMENT BOARD FOR PRASAR BHARATI
Nearly three decades after it was setup as an autonomous body, India’s Public Broadcaster Prasar Bharati may finally manage to get its own recruitment board for addressing the staffing needs of Doordarshan and All India Radio. According to a senior officer the Prasar Bharati act 1990 laid down the establishment of one or more recruitment board but it was not materialised because of union government and public broadcaster were not on the same page over the modalities of setting up such board. When Prasar Bharati was setup several govt officials joined on deputation but now the government is in the process of formation of a recruitment board for Prasar Bharati and will soon announce the recruitment board.
