US President Donald Trump’s AI-generated video on Gaza, which he uploaded on self-owned ‘Truth Social’, stumped the majority who sat down to watch it. They didn’t think Ai could have been more realistic than the works of celebrity filmmakers like James Cameron with their creative imaginations.
James Cameron says he is set to flee the United States because Trump’s presidency is “sickening” and this is the man who made ‘Avatar’ and ‘Titanic’. Isn’t Cameron setting a sickening example of cowardice and spinelessness by running away? President Donald Trump has more guts and is truely “Capt. America”, not afraid to “changing the world as it exists.”
And where do you think Cameron is fleeing to — an island, New Zealand! For all his grandiose films, James Cameron has no ambition worth a nickel though ‘Avatar’ gave the impression he was one in a billion, trillion, zillion. Maybe, ‘True Lies’ told it better. Turns out Cameron struck it rich because common people go needlessly gaga over flicks.
President Trump is several jumps ahead of the likes of Cameron and Robert de Niro, another Hollywood personality who hates Trump like the veritable pandemic that tested President Trump and his pal Prime Minister Narendra Modi before President Joe Biden took away all the kudos.
James Cameron thinks the United States under President Joe Biden’s presidency wasn’t sickening. Maybe because President Biden could always wander away, leave the stage. Nearly three months on, after transitioning from 45th to 47th without a break (!), it has sunk into Cameron that Trump is for “real.”
And why’s Trump’s presidency “sickening”? Can it be because Elon Musk is constantly looking over President Trump’s shoulder or because Musk’s son ‘X Æ A-12’ is messing up the Oval Office floor! Who is the US President — Trump, Musk or ‘X Æ A-12’? Ask Cameron.
Cameron has caught the ‘wander bug’ after being ‘Wonder Bug’ for so long. Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ is a five-part series in a mostly happy electric blue hue. The third part — Avatar: Fire and Ash — will be up for view in December 2025, when Cameron will be in Kiwi-land, far away from Trump’s sickening world, giving lots of us pause for thought: Are all filmmakers gutless, downright feckless?
The President of the United States wasn’t seen running away when everybody in America was convinced Trump was finished after Jan 6, and “fleeing America” wasn’t even a fleeting thought in James Cameron’s moving imagination. Ai imagined ‘Trump’s World’ and the video was fielded on Instagram with ‘Gaza’ shown as everything that Trump imagined it would become once the New York property developer is finished with the bombed up seafront strip.
James Cameron lives in a make-believe world but President Donald Trump is all about practical real-estate retreats. Come to think of it, Ai imagines that the President Trump-inspired multi-developer real-estate project will transform the shattered and battered Gaza into a “high-end beachfront destination complete with palm tree-lined streets, gilded Trump-branded buildings, and lavish entertainment.”
That is one Ai-version of Trump’s Gaza. There are other versions. And among the “surreal elements”, a giant gold statue of Donald Trump towering over Gaza like Cameron’s ‘Avatar’. They say Adam was a 90-foot giant towering over ‘Eden!’
The Ai-generated ‘Gaza’ video features President Trump in the lead role. It doesn’t shed light on FLOTUS Melania Trump but for entertainment, there is Elon Musk and Benjamin ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu, both of them topless and sunbathing on the Gaza beachfront. Trump in an earlier avatar had developed and sold real-estate to make his billions. He also lived a lavish life of wrestling, music and lyrics. This video has bearded belly-dancers dancing to the lyrics “Trump’s Gaza is finally here”, leaving tens of thousands wondering if it was the end of the world.
But Trump’s detractors only saw the “destruction and suffering of Gaza” that would happen after Trump puts his plan into action. The Ai-generated video is an ominous extension of Trump’s imagination as imagined by Ai and has serious implications for Gaza, for Gaza’s people and for the region. No one’s happy, not even business real-estate developers of the region who could hope to profit from the transformation of Gaza. Neighbours Jordan and Egypt aren’t happy and the gas-rich Qatar is simmering.
Don’t be surprised if unknown people with unidentified voices suggest Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene for the sake of “World Peace.” Prime Minister Modi is the only global leader who hugs President Donald Trump and also the sole world leader who can bring President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.
That said, it will not be easy. The video is about displacing helpless people including orphaned children; it is about making money out of misery; it is about enriching the already stinking rich; it is about imperialism; it is about hegemony and it further divides an already divided planet. It is about dismantling a long-established culture, a way of life.
Most importantly, it casts aside the Palestinian and Palestinian aspirations. What will happen to the two-state solution that everybody and Santa Claus have been talking about for donkey’s years? Do the Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and elsewhere just shut shop and settle down in the servants-quarters of the sprawling Trump’s Gaza Riviera with its Trump Towers and Trump Golf Course? What happens to the Palestinian flag, and what happens to the Palestinian ‘Keffiyeh Girl’? What happens to the military-industrial complex that thrives on keeping the pot boiling in Gaza?
