NEW DELHI: The 19th Security Leadership Summit, hosted by Central Association of Private Security Industry(CAPSI) andAssociation of Private Detectives and Investigators(APDI), commenced at PHD House, New Delhi, bringing together prominent leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to envision the future of security in India. The two-day summit, themed “Surakshit Bharat – Viksit Bharat 2047”, highlights the integration of advanced technologies with security strategies to create a safer and more developed nation by 2047.
Day one featured esteemed guests, including Gen (Dr.) V.K. Singh (Retd), Former Union Minister, and Lt. Gen M.U. Nair, National Cyber Security Coordinator. Gen Singh unveiled CAPSI’s Surakshit Bharat – Viksit Bharat Vision 2047 document, emphasizing the need for technology-driven internal security frameworks. Lt. Gen Nair shared insights on leveraging AI and drones for national security. Key discussions revolved around drone technology, cybersecurity, AI in security services, women’s safety, and collaboration between private security and law enforcement. Renowned speakers such as Dr. Satya Pal Singh, former Union Minister, and international experts like Mike LaCorte and Ambassador Sylvester Okere provided diverse perspectives.
Kunwar Vikram Singh, CAPSI Chairman, announced a groundbreaking initiative to train one lakh drone warriors under DGCA guidelines. “This summit reinforces our commitment to ensuring safety and progress for all,” he stated.
