LUCKNOW: While raising new slogan, Nai hawa hai, Nai SaPa hai, Samajwadi Party national President Akhilesh is now focussing on Mahila and Youth for broader perspective to win forthcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier MY formula meant for Samajwadi Party muslim and yadav which helped the party to win the elections.
Now Akhilesh Yadav wants to rise above caste and religion based politics and wants to be seen working for all castes and religions. There is no doubt that Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party enjoy support of majority of muslims which was exhibited in all previous elections since 1990 when Mulayam Singh Yadav ordered firing on karsewaks to protect Babri Masjid. Besides negotiating with smaller parties, Akhilesh Yadav is admitting important leaders from BSP to make inroads in dalit voters.
Significantly enough Akhilesh Yadav said that his party will follow socialist ideology persued by his father Mulayam Singh Yadav and new strategies to win 2022 assembly polls. The SP leader repeatedly said that his party would focus on women, youth and farmers and raised their issues in the election campaign. Akhilesh Yadav said the women were not safe as crimes against them had increased manifold and youth were disturbed due to unemployment. Akhilesh Yadav has launched various yatras by different wings of party to reach out to masses from village level to district headquarters to spread the message to bring party to power.
All India President of Samajwadi Mahila Sabha Juhi Singh is holding meetings of women in different districts to sensitise them on the problems being faced by them and to motivate them to work for party and vote in next assembly polls.
Samajwadi Party Lohia Vahini President Pradeep Tewari launched ,AaoChalen booth par chaupal Karen, with slogan Janta ka adeshhai aa rahenAkhilesh.During his meeting in various districts, Pradeep Tewari is focussing on growing unemployment to address youth.
Similarly Samajwadi Party Pichda Varg president Dr Rajpal Tiyagi MLC is holding meetings of backward cell of party all over the state to organise members of backward communities. While addressing the meetings, Dr Rajpal Tiyagi talked about atrocities on backward communities during BJP rule. He further said that there was attack on constitutional rights of deprived section of society.
Most backwards cell of the party is holding the Samajwadi Jan Chaupal Bind, Nishad, mallah, kewat Yatra led by former minister Ram Kishore Bind. In order to attract the people living on the banks of river especially of bind samaj the yatra started from Prayagraj and ended at Ghazipur while passing through Jaunpur, Bhadoo, Mirzapur Chandauli and Varanasi.
Samajwadi Party Lohia Vahini leader Rajendra Yadav launched Berojgar Kisan Majdoor Samwad Yatra on September 8 from political sensitive Rae Bareli and passed through Amethi, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Jaunpur , Mau , Chandauli Gazipur and ended on September 19.
In order to organise traders Samajwadi Party Vyaparsabha held an important conference at Barasi which was organised by state president Sanjay Garg. The issues concerning powerful trading community were raised at the conference. Demonetisation, poorly planned GST, no respite from power bills during corona period and no waiver for loans taken by traders. Were focused.
In order to reach out to lawyers all over the state, Samajwadi Adhivakta Samvidhan bachao Yatra was launched which was very well recived by lawyers. Samajwadi Party state president Naresh Uttam also led Kisan Naujawan Patel Yatra in different parts of state to mobile support of backward community.
Bahujan Samaj Party on the other hand, has aggressively launched to win over powerful brahmin community which constitute 11 percent of total population in state. Throughout the state series of conferences were organised which were attended by members of brahmin community and addressed by former CM and BSP national President Mayawati and national general secretary Satish Mishra.
Mayawati and Satish Mishra explained how members of brahmin community were being victimised during BJP rule and assured full protection if they are voted to power. BSP is banking on support of traditional Dalits voters, brahmins and few percentage from muslims to win assembly polls.
Significantly Samajwadi Party and BSP joined hands during 2019 Lok Sabha polls but ended very soon when Mayawati unilaterally dissolved the alliance putting entire blame on Samajwadi Party for its failure to transfer it’s votes to BSP. But the fact remains that BSP won 10 seats and Samajwadi Party was barely able to retain its five seats. (IPA Service)
