Radiola Aerospace Lands Plumb Indian Contract

Porirua based Radiola Aerospace Limited has landed a four year contract to undertake flight inspections of new navigation aids at 30 military airfields throughout India.
The contract, awarded by the TATA Power Company of India through its Strategic Electronics Division (TATA Power SED), is a real coup says Radiola Aerospace Managing Director, Brent Albiston.
TATA Power SED holds a prime contract with the Indian Ministry of Defence to modernize facilities, including the installation of aircraft landing systems and other navigation aids, at airfields operated by the Indian Air Force.
Following several meetings with TATA, Radiola Aerospace was invited to bid for the flight inspection work.
“That we have been awarded this contract against intense international competition is testament to the Company’s world-wide reputation as a professional supplier of flight inspection services” says Mr Albiston.
Radiola Aerospace staff based inNew Zealand and the United Kingdom will conduct the missions using Diamond 42 aircraft from the Company’s UK partner, Diamond Executive Aviation Ltd.
Radiola Aerospace has delivered flight inspection and flight validation services in over 25 countries in the past three years. In 2011 it installed and commissioned aeronautical navigation aids at international airports in Papua New Guinea and the Cook Islands.

An appeal

The legacy of IPA, founded by Nikhil Chakravartty, the doyen of journalism in India, to keep the flag of independent media flying high, is facing the threat of extinction due to the effect of the Covid pandemic. Only an emergency funding can avert such an eventuality. We appeal to all those who believe in the freedom of expression to contribute to this noble cause.
