The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) ordered an Enquiry of the parliament security breach incident. An Enquiry Committee has been set up under Anish Dayal Singh, DG, CRPF, with members from other security agencies and experts.
The committee will investigate the reasons for the breach in the security of Parliament, identify lapses and recommend further action. The Committee will submit its report with recommendations, including suggestions on improving security in Parliament, at the earliest.
The entry of visitors inside the Parliament House complex has been suspended.
The Opposition MPs are planning to meet the President of India Droupadi Murmu over the issue. The Congress demanded answers from the government and a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah in both houses of Parliament on the “serious security breach” in Lok Sabha.
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said the security breach in Lok Sabha is a challenge to the nation’s sovereignty and demanded tough action against the intruders.
The Trinamool Congress also strongly criticised the central government for the security breach in Parliament.
