“Always prepared, ever vigilant”, ‘ADGPI – Indian Army’ posted this assertion on ‘X’. Pakistan and India have declared ‘War’ and United States President Donald Trump says it’s up to India and Pakistan to deal with it, “they’re close and Kashmir has been between them for 1500 years!”
Forget that Pakistan was created in 1947! Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Islamabad doesn’t want ‘War’ while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left everybody guessing after the initial “pursue to the ends of the earth” threat.
Indians call it ‘KLPD’ in Hindi, which is a euphemism for “ditched” instead of “pitched.” Modi’s pitch for ‘War’ has gotten old, old, old…
So much so, Pakistan is demanding ‘neutral investigation’, which fits well with Pakistan’s allegation that Pahalgam was India’s false-flag operation! Mariam Nawaz says so. So do Bilawal Bhutto and Fawad Chaudhary. Probably even Imran Khan in his jail cell!
All of Pakistan is united at this hour of threat to Indus flowing, forget the ‘Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb’ which doesn’t gel with the Jinnah-Munir ‘two-nation theory’, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s raison d’etre!
Reports say Gen. Munir put his family in a chartered plane and the plane left! Has Pakistan, the nation of the bravado, blinked first? “Pakistan is open to participating in any neutral, transparent and credible investigation,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said at a military academy in Abbottabad, the same locality where Osama Bin Laden met his maker.
Osama was given a decent burial at sea by the American ‘Seals’ — who burst into Pakistan and snatched Bin Laden from under Pakistani nostrils —,and Shehbaz Sharif now says that “Pakistani forces remain fully capable and prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and its territorial integrity against any misadventure.”
Shehbaz pointed out Pakistan’s “resolute response to India’s reckless incursion in February 2019” and Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif said that Islamabad was “ready to cooperate” with any investigation by a set of “international inspectors.”
But before any “international inspector” could jump to the invitation, terror outfit ‘The Resistance Force’, which claimed responsibility for Pahalgam, backed out, pleading it wasn’t the culprit and that its website had been “hijacked!”
The moot question is, whether there will be ‘War’ and who was stopping the ‘War’ from happening? The terror attack in Baisaran in Pahalgam is now almost a week old and so little water has flown down the ‘Sindhu’, Pakistan’s lifeline!
The Indus Waters Treaty has been there since 1964 and no war between India and Pakistan made a difference. Today, ‘New Delhi’ has gone ahead and done and dusted with the ‘Treaty’ along with imposing other “measures” — spoken with the ‘s’ silent — that are hurting Pakistan. Media in Pakistan have started calling Prime Minister Modi ‘Butcher of Gujarat!’
Yet there is no sign of ‘War.’ What is Prime Minister Modi waiting for? Pakistani defence experts are floating all sorts of nonsense including that India has revised its “second strike nuclear doctrine.” In other words, no more ‘Gandhigiri’ and all thanks to ‘Munna Bhai, MBBS!’
The Attari border stands solemn. And forlorn and abandoned the Pakistani High Commission. All this in preparation for the elusive ‘War.’ Pakistanis caught inside India have left crying; some wanting to escape India’s tyranny and others wanting to stick around for a heart!
But Indian Home Minister Amit Shah looks ever the distant man in the moon. May 1 is the last day to leave India for all Pakistani nationals who had entered via the Attari border. FYI Pakistan, too, went tit-for-tat on their side of Attari.
After all, despite Jinnah-Munir, we’re two nations but one heart and an Indo-Pakistan ‘War’ is long overdue. The ‘Kargil War’, is a distant memory. Why is Pakistan citing “India caught up in domestic political purposes” to delay ‘War’? It sounds so “kayarana” for Pakistan to say that New Delhi wants to “punish Islamabad without any proof and investigation.”
Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to avoid ‘War’ and Prime Minister Modi is sitting on his threat. Asking Hindus to lower their pants cannot be forgiven. Khwaja Asif shouldn’t be let off with “we do not want this war to flare up, because flaring up of this war can cause disaster for this region.”
Khwaja Asif told this to the New York Times and the New York Times never liked Modi in the first place.
Modi promised to “pursue the terrorists to the end of the earth” from the soil of poll-bound Bihar. “I say to the whole world. India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Terrorism will not go unpunished,” Modi said and America’s top spy Tulsi Gabbard is also ‘Hindu’.
Why is Modi taking his own sweet time? Every passing hour with no ‘War’ is worse than heartbreak. “Those who conspired towards this attack will get a punishment bigger than they can imagine,” said Modi and ‘Pahalgam’ put a full-stop to the ‘Waqf fight’ and Muslim politicians like Asaduddin Owaisi have gone silent. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board, too. Has the Supreme Court been tamed? Everything has gotten down to “war will break out any time, wait.” (IPA Service)
