Before the swearing ceremony of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan as the next prime minister of the country the Indian high commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria is learned to be calling him for a meeting on Friday.
Sources claim the meeting has been finalized and prior to it only envoys of United States, Russia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Iran have met the former cricketer-turned politician.
Earlier, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi had congratulated Khan for his PTI emerging as the single largest party in Pakistan following late last month’s general elections.
It is believed Bisaria may outline for tougher action by his upcoming government against India-specific terror groups like JeM and LeT.
Will Pakistan improve ties with India is the core question now and is believed the Khan government would like to resolve all disputes between the two nations including the issues related to Kashmir.
Following his win the 65-year-old said, “I am a person who arguably knows the most people in India because of my days in cricket. We can resolve the poverty crisis in South East Asia. The biggest problem is Kashmir.”
In his first public address after the victory he further added if India’s leadership wants to improve relations with Pakistan, his government too will reciprocate instead of both the countries getting involved in blame game.
Talking about Pakistan’s relationship with US Khan said it will be balanced so that mutual benefits are seen.
