The Election Commission of India (ECI) has firmly refuted allegations from Congress, which claimed irregularities and electoral manipulation during the Haryana assembly elections. Congress’s accusations mainly centered on electronic voting machine (EVM) discrepancies, which party leaders argued disproportionately affected their candidates. Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary, expressed dismay over vote count patterns, specifically noting EVM battery level anomalies. According to him, EVMs indicating high battery power showed losses for Congress, while those with depleted battery levels seemed to favor their candidates.
