New Delhi:Central armed forces have initiated measures to reserve 10% of constable positions for former Agniveers, as announced by the Union Home Ministry. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Border Security Force (BSF) have outlined plans to implement this quota, including age relaxations and exemptions from physical tests for ex-Agniveers.
CISF Director General Nina Singh stated that the force is preparing recruitment processes to accommodate the 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers across all constable positions. Similarly, BSF Director General Nitin Agrawal detailed the force’s plans for integrating former Agniveers. The move is aimed at utilizing the skills and discipline of ex-Agniveers while providing them with career opportunities in central security forces.
Other central armed police forces are also expected to follow suit, implementing the 10% quota for ex-Agniveers in their respective recruitments.
