LUCKNOW: Is BJP trying to divert the attention from the alleged loot of donations at Ram Temple at Ayodhya and spreading news about possible split in Samajwadi Party.? At a time when entire nation is watching developments in Ayodhya about great loot of the donations BJP leaders and alliance partners are busy circulating news about the large numbers of SP MPs quitting the party. The news about possibility of split in Samajwadi Party gained momentum after splits in TMC in West Bengal and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.
BJP high command is working overtime to cause split almost all opposition parties to gain two third majority in Lok Sabha before 2029LokSabhapollsto get the Constitution amendment Bill for increasing number of seats passed in the parliament.
Significantly the news about the possible split in Samajwadi Party came from backward face of BJP Cabinet Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and alliance partners and ministers Om Prakash Rajbhar of Suheldeo Bhartiya Samaj Party and Dr Sanjay Nishad of Nishad Party.
At a time when Samajwadi Party is talking about strengthening PDA (Pichda, dalit and alpsanghkhayak), BJP also deliberately selected backward faces to spread news about the possible split in Samajwadi Party.
Om Prakash Rajbhar created sensation with the claimed that Senior leader of Samajwadi Party and uncle of Akhilesh Yadav gave a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah a list of 22 MPs who would quit the party and form a separate group. Om Prakash Rajbhar also charged that Samajwadi Party was under pressure due to ongoing inquiry into various irregularities committed during it’s regime between 2012 to 2017.
BJP cabinet minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also claimed that more than 25 MPs were willing to quit the party and form a separate group to join BJP. Now Dr Sanjay Nishad of Nishad Party and minister in Yogi government also claimed that several SP MPs were in touch with him who wanted to quit the party.
Samajwadi Party national President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav rejected all claims as bogus and said that party was intact and no MP will quit the party. He alleged that government agencies were being used to mount pressure in other states to cause split in various political parties.
The fact remains that during 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party won 37 seats while BJP was restricted to 33 seats only .The saffron party was also far behind in assembly constituencies. In terms of party wise voting figures.
Now the strategy of BJP and alliance partners is to destabilise the major opposition party and create great confusion in Samajwadi Party leaders, workers and supporters and set the narrative of possible split to divert the attention from Ram Temple donations bungling and other issues of governance of double engine governments of BJP at the centre and state.
