NEW DELHI: As a commentary on conducive government support and post-1990 reforms in policies, five Indian companies are among 32 global corporate conglomerates, which recently have successfully contested into the final rounds of the global competition of Team Quality Excellence in management, instituted by American Society for Quality (ASQ), the world’s largest network of quality resources and experts based in Milwaukee, USA. They excelled in the Manufacturing, Service and Education sectors.
The competition is the 27th Annual International Team Excellence Awards process of ASQ. The competition covers five domains e.g., Education, Manufacturing, Services, Healthcare and Governance. Three in the manufacturing, one (and the lone) institute in Education and one in Service sectors.
Three companies in Manufacturing are Reliance Industries Ltd. Dahej (Gujarat), Reliance Industries Ltd. Hazira, (Gujarat), and Suzlon Energy Limited, Pune (Maharashtra).
