Mumbai: Aryan Khan is a regular consumer of drugs, the NCB told a Mumbai court Thursday as the star son’s bail hearing resumed this morning.
The NCB, or Narcotics Control Bureau, told the court “evidence shows” the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son frequently took banned substances, and had been doing so for years.
In yesterday’s hearing the NCB told the court Aryan Khan “indulged in illicit drug trafficking” and was involved in the “procuring and distribution of drugs”.
The star son’s defence team argued that he was “not present” during the drugs-on-ship raid, had no cash to buy drugs and didn’t have drugs on him.
Aryan Khan, 23, was arrested along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and six others after the October 2 mid-sea drugs raid on the goa-bound Cordelia cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
He has been in a Mumbai jail since Friday.
