Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of attempting to destabilise his government by offering substantial bribes to Aam Aadmi Party legislators. He claims that seven AAP MLAs were approached with offers of ₹25 crore each to defect to the BJP.
Kejriwal stated that BJP representatives contacted these MLAs, asserting that the Chief Minister would soon be arrested in connection with the ongoing liquor policy investigation. The alleged proposition included promises of ₹25 crore and a BJP ticket for future elections in exchange for switching allegiance.
The AAP leader expressed concern over these developments, suggesting that the BJP’s actions are a deliberate strategy to topple the Delhi government. He emphasised that, despite previous attempts, his administration has remained intact due to the unwavering support of both the public and party members.
