President Donald Trump botched up. He had Pakistan by the scruff of its neck and Pakistan recommended his name for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026. Pakistan, the land of wisdom and Islamic valour. But Trump turned against himself and screwed up – he went to war with Iran!
Pakistan has officially named President Trump for the coveted Nobel Peace Prize. Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize and Trump wants all that Barack Obama got! Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Asim Munir spoke in favour of Trump. People believed Pakistan could actually swing the prize Trump’s way.
Such is Pakistan’s sway over the Nobel committee. Trump says Pakistan has some of the best diplomats on the planet and India’s “propaganda”, as one Pakistani put it, needed to be busted.
So, in a split second of idiocy, Trump lost it. Vice President JD Vance said Trump had the option to abort the ‘B-2 Mission’ till the last minute, but Trump issued the bunker-buster order on three Iranian nuclear sites, and it turned out to be three mistakes in three seconds.
Now, Iran’s top cleric Ayatollah Khameini isn’t traceable and rumours are he fled to Russia leaving behind a message targeting Israel but studiously ignoring Trump’s United States. The destruction of the three “nuclear sites” is irreparable and Iran has broadened the front. President Trump has warned Iran not to retaliate if it doesn’t want more death to rain from the sky. So much for Pakistan’s “Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize” recommendation!
Trump’s “role” in the India-Pak conflict was cited as the reason for Pakistan naming Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump keeps parroting “I stopped the India-Pakistan conflict” and Trump doesn’t even bat an eyelid.
There are people who actually believe Trump’s “I stopped…” nonsense. Pakistan Army Chief Gen Asim Munir took advantage. Trump is easy to fool with words of praise but the uniformed Hindu-hater is another reason why Trump lapsed into believing he could win a Nobel Peace Prize, him and him alone.
President Trump hosted a lunch for Gen. Munir and the wily general vouched for Trump’s peaceful credentials and intentions. An example of two devils quoting from the scripture. It was Trump’s word against Modi’s word. “Stop claiming credit for the ceasefire”, Modi told Trump.
India has been saying it all along that it wasn’t a ceasefire, but an “understanding” worked out by the DGMOs of India and Pakistan. As it turned out, President Trump is like a repeater rifle: His ratatat “I stopped the war” didn’t stop and Vice President JD Vance says Trump had the option to abort the strikes on Fodrow, Nantanz and Isfahan up to the last second.
Then, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came out of his characteristic “lapses into silence” and silenced Trump when the United States President rang up Modi to invite him to the White House for a stop-over. The last time Modi stopped-over was when he flew into Pakistan for a tete-e-tete with Nawaz Sharif.
President Trump did not “stop” India-Pakistan hostilities but this did not register in Trump’s brainstem and Trump continued to parrot “I stopped the India-Pakistan war” much to Modi’s chagrin.
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has questioned Trump’s credentials for the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump doesn’t seem to agree that India’s “fierce counter-attack” brought Pakistan to its knees. To add insult to injury, Pakistan had endorsed Trump’s patently false claim that he brokered peace between “two nuclear-powered neighbours.”
It is as if India’s armed forces did not have a hand in forcing Pakistan to plead for an end to hostilities. The DGMOs took care of the rest. Pakistan’s recommendation for the Nobel Peace Prize for Trump came a couple of days after President Trump hosted a lunch for Pakistan’s COAS Gen. Asim Munir at the White House.
Trump is infatuated and he buffeted the lunch with a range of goodies for Gen Asim Munir and for Pakistan. There are murmurs that Trump’s core interests are his family’s affairs and Gen. Asim Munir has impressed President Trump. A UK newspaper said “President Trump has a thing for strongmen”.
Both Trump and Munir believe in “unilateralism” though it is hard to believe Gen. Munir wasn’t arm-twisted into recommending President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
If Obama could get the Nobel Peace Prize, why can’t and why shouldn’t President Donald Trump get the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize? Gen. Munir’s recommendation shines through like a beacon of peace and sends a powerful message: Carpe-diem!
This was the first time a Pakistani general was treated like royalty in the White House and that, too, behind “closed doors” with only the President’s close coterie breaking bread with a man who could become a military dictator!
But overnight, Pakistan’s strong recommendation has come to naught. Where and for how long this pact between devils will land India is not hard to guess. Suffice to say that India can’t get lax. The April 22 Pahalgam terror attack perpetrators haven’t yet been accounted for despite the destruction of terror hubs and air-bases.
It was India’s fierce attacks that forced Pakistan to plead for ending the hostilities. But Pakistan government’s post on ‘X’ says this: “At a moment of heightened regional turbulence”, President Trump “demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi.”
Pakistan praised Trump’s intervention and said, “This intervention stands as a testament to his [Trump’s] role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue. “Trump’s “sincere offers” to help resolve the issue of Jammu and Kashmir also “manifestly showcases the continuation of his legacy of pragmatic diplomacy and effective peace-building.”
Pakistan continues to hope that Trump’s “earnest efforts” will bear fruit except that heart-of-hearts Trump is a difficult man to trust.
Yet President Trump is always whining and wheeling-dealing. “I won’t get the Nobel, I won’t get the Nobel” is his latest refrain. Fact is, President Trump botched up. How can somebody be a paragon of peace and expect to win the Nobel Peace Prize after going to war?
President Trump refused to even believe his spy chief Tulsi Gabbard and went ahead and bombed Fodrow, Nantanx and Isfahan — three reasons why President Trump doesn’t qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize. (IPA Service)
