LUCKNOW: By jumping over police barricading in Delhi to protest against the Election Commission on Monday, Samajwadi Party national President Akhilesh Yadav attracted nation-wide attention and made it clear the he would hit the road to take on Modi government at the centre and Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav has made it clear that his PDA alliance will fight against BJP in UP to win the election in 2027 assembly polls to dislodge Yogi government. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav and party leaders made it clear that PDA alliance of backwards, dalits and minorities will ensure defeat of NDA to dislodge Modi government at the centre in 2029 Lok Sabha polls.
An aggressive Akhilesh Yadav has asked his party workers to strengthen PDA alliance from grass-root to district headquarters. At the same Samajwadi Party leaders have been asked to corner Yogi government on every issue concerning governance connected with common men inside the UP Assembly as well as outside on the streets.
Recently Samajwadi Party led the agitation against government order of merger of those primary schools where the number of students was less than the required number. The government order maintained the number of students should be less than 50 qualified for merger with other institutions in neighbouring areas having better infrastructure. The order also said that it was being done following New Education Policy of 2020.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party national President Akhilesh Yadav said this arrangement would deprive members of PDA who were from marginalised section of society to travel the long distance to get the education. Samajwadi Party also said the concerned order was against the basic purpose of RTE which ensure Right To Education to all.
Large number of students with their parents lodged the protest to show their anger against the order. Especially in Sandila, young lawyer of High Court and Samajwadi Party leader Abhishek Dixit brought such affected students in open to lodge the protest.
Samajwadi Party also decided to lodge protest in constructive manner by holding PDA pathshalas for affected students all over the state. Yogi government countered this protest from Samajwadi party by lodging FIR against those persons who were conducting such PDA pathshala.
Akhilesh Yadav defended his party’s decision to hold PDA pathshalas all over the state where students from marginalised sections are being deprived of education under the new order of merger of schools having less enrolment.
Condemning the punitive action of lodging FIR against those involved in holding PDA pathshala, Akhilesh Yadav showed his aggression by asserting that his party would force the government to review the government order in favour of those students who cannot go far distance to attend schools.
