Trans Damodar Coal Block is spread over an area of about 8 square km, out of which 694 acres will be mined through open cast method. the area is situated in south eastern part of Raniganj coalfield. The state government is expected to earn revenue of Rs 56 crore annually in the form of cess and royalty from the production of coal from the opencast portion of Trans Damodar Sector Coal Block.
