The BJP in Uttar Pradesh is playing its card on each seat very carefully and wants to win Amethi seat in this Lok Sabha election. BJP has once again has given ticket to Smriti Irani from Amethi. For her help they replaced Varun Gandhi the MP from Sultanpur to Pilibhit parliamentary constituency from where his mother has been representing in parliament and fielded Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur a seat held by Varun Gandhi. It was a planned transfer of seat so that Maneka Gandhi may campaign for BJP in Amethi. Amethi Lok sabha seat was once held by Maneka Gandhi’s husband Late Sanjay Gandhi, uncle of Rahul Gandhi. Parts of new Sultanpur constituency earlier fell in Amethi Lok Sabha seat. Maneka’s influence in Amethi constituency is still alive due to her husband late Sanjay’s Gandhi’s image which still persists in the hearts of the people of Amethi. BJP wants to use the old relationship of Maneka Gandhi in this constituency against Rahul Gandhi.
MAYAWATI USES DANISH ALI TO SPREAD HER CLOUT IN KARNATAKA
BSP Chief Mayawati once again played her card in Karnataka with the hope to win Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka with hope for Prime Ministership. One time confident and General Secretary of JD(S) Danish Ali who has worked out an agreement for sharing seat with Congress for the Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka, has joined BSP and got the party ticket from Amroha Lok Sabha seat in UP. On the other hand, the only BSP minister in Karnataka has left the H.D. Kumarswamy Cabinet several months back and now BSP is contesting all the Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. Mayawati’s political act shows her strong will to lead the country. Ali has been H.D. Deve Gowda’s point man for two decades and Gowda found that Ali’s political move with BSP will be beneficial in Karnataka but Mayawati played a right game to win over Ali and using him in Karnataka as her representative.
PRATIBHA ADVANI MAY BE NOMINATED TO RAJYA SABHA IN PLACE OF AMIT SHAH
According to BJP sources, L K Advani would be shifting to the Upper House in Amit Shah’s place after the Lok Sabha elections but some BJP senior leaders are claiming that Pratibha Advani, the daughter of L K Advani will be sent to Rajya Sabha in place of Amit Shah who is contesting from Gandhinagar. The speculation is over who will get the Rajya Sabha seat which Shah holds. No one is doubting that Amit Shah will win from Gandhinagar as it is the BJP strong hold. . Advani has been an MP from Gandhinagar since 1998. Although Modi-Shah duo is against promoting dynasty but they are ready to consider Pratibha’s case, it is learnt.
BJP SETS A TARGET OF 22 LOK SABHA SEATS FROM WEST BENGAL
In West Bengal, the BJP has made the target of 22 seats from 42 Lok Sabha seats but on the other hand Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has an eye on Delhi and she wants to create a third front on national level but does not want any alliance with Congress in West Bengal. She is trying to win all 42 seats on her own. During her release of election manifesto of her party she had hinted for third front government in Delhi and has promised to set an enquiry committee for demonetization and will again revive the planning commission and will provide employment for 200 days in place of 100 days a year. She has promised to double the daily wages. She is blaming central govt for tapping opposition leader’s phones.
BJP LEADERSHIP IS IN A BAD SHAPE IN RAJASTHAN ON LOK SABHA POLL EVE
BJP in Rajasthan is still not confident in the coming Lok Sabha election to retain the seats they have won in 2014. They have won all the 25 seats in last Lok Sabha election. The leaders having RSS background are now leaving BJP and joining the Congress party. In Jaipur the strong hold of BJP, the Mayor Vishnu Lata, District Board Chairman Mool Chand Meena and Former BJP Minister Surender Goel have joined the Congress. Former Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje Scindia after becoming Vice President of BJP, is also not seen interested in present BJP politics. BJP State President Madan Lal Saini is also not regular in the party headquater and is not seen interested in the party activity as he was in 2014.
